Why I Love Baking

Everyone has their stories on why they enjoy certain things, So here is mine....

When I was a little girl growing up their wasn't nothing I loved and enjoyed more than being in the kitchen. The kitchen is where and still is, where the memories are made..no seriously think about it for a second...it really is. I get to spend more quality time with the people I love more than ever in this world in the kitchen. The photos on this page you see are the people who inspired me to do what I love more than ever, besides being a mom. The memories of every egg cracked in a recipe, to every chance I got to stir or lick the bowl, to the laughs and tears. I'm sure their are a few thinking about the days in the kitchen now with their grandmas, great-grandmas, and moms and even aunts and sisters. Its that warm feeling inside that brings me back to my Nanaw's pecan pies, my Mimi's chocolate cake, and my nanny's meatloaf and even my Mema's quiche and my aunt Mendi's stuffed mushrooms, oh and cant forget my Nana's sausage balls and my moms red velvet cake Mmmmm...

Life is what you make it and its short that's for sure, leaving you with memories of loved ones who leave this world to soon or even live a distance away. Baking is my passion, my job, my dream, and  I hope my three daughters enjoy and make memories with me in the kitchen, as I have with my friends and family. So with all that said I hope now you understand, where and why I chose "Happiness is Homemade" Store bought just doesn't touch homemade.

Thank yall for reading ,yall are the best.
